Tudor Farm is almost equal distance from Omagh, Enniskillen and Donegal Town. We are fortunate in having a number of sightseeing loops and interesting places to visit.
A Typical Day Out...
Turn left at our gate and head across Boa Island stopping off at Cladragh Graveyard to look at the Janus Stone. On to Belleek where you can enjoy a cup of coffee at the Thatch before visiting Belleek Pottery. On to Ballyshannon the oldest town in Ireland and a chance to do some shopping. Travel a few miles further along the coast to Rossknowlagh and bring your car right down onto the beach.
Enjoy the picnic hamper prepared by Tudor Farm or stop for lunch at Smugglers Creek or the Sand House Hotel. After lunch and a brisk walk along the beach head to Donegal Town browse round the gift shops and the Four Masters bookshop before tea and treacle bread in Magee's. Shopping finished and time to make tracks home through Laghey over the mountain into Pettigoe, where you can stop off to at Lough Derg to view St Patrick's Purgatory, an island where pilgrims have been going for over 1000 years, then back through the villages of Pettigoe and Tullyhommon which look for all the world the one village, though one sits in the North of Ireland the other in the ROI.
Depending on the time you might want to stop and enjoy
the craic and food in one of the pubs in Pettigoe before heading home
to bed at Tudor Farm.
